Everything stripped away. Mutations For Piano is Claudio Passavanti alone at the piano, playing eleven short instrumentals he composed himself, from Air Is Good to Don't Know Paris. The label's own notes describe it as almost a set of études, with echoes of film scoring and cues taken from Gonzales, Chick Corea and Keith Jarrett's solo concerts. The artwork dates from 2008, when a CD was first planned, and the album was released in 2011. It sits apart from the dancefloor records and shows the pianist underneath all of them. The CD is still available on Bandcamp.
