A double A-side from 2015. Super People is a Claudio Passavanti original in the Salsoul disco and boogie tradition, led by Quentin Collins' trumpet, with vocals from Tasita D'Mour and René Alvarez from Santiago de Cuba. On the flip Wayne Hernandez sings a reworked Papa Was A Rolling Stone, the Temptations' 1972 Motown hit. The 7-inch, SUN7005, carried 7-inch mixes, and the digital EP added extended and instrumental versions. The 7-inch sold out, and Super People has become the most-streamed Sunlightsquare track, with nearly 3 million Spotify plays. A new 7-inch, SUN7007, with the instrumental on the flip, is in production for 2026.
