Before Sunlightsquare, there was a duo. Singer Barbara Eramo and Claudio Passavanti formed Eramo & Passavanti in 1997, and at the 1998 Festival di Sanremo their song Senza confini won the award for Best Performance. Oro e ruggine is the album around it, released in February 1998: thirteen tracks, with a tango intro, a Giro di Tango and song titles in French and Portuguese along the way. The digital edition carries ℗ 1998 Eramo e Passavanti. Barbara Eramo sings again eight years later, on Nu Bossa from the first Sunlightsquare album.
