Claudio Passavanti's love of Cuban music, put to tape in Havana. With local producer Antonio Rodríguez he booked Studio 4 at Radio Rebelde and recorded with a band billed on the sleeve as the Sunlightsquare Latin Combo: Lázaro Antonio "Toni" Rodríguez on bongo and lead vocals, Ignacio "El Chispa" Cervantes on bass and Luis Amaurys Leyva Suárez on tres, with Giovanni Imparato on tumbadora and Claudio on piano and Hammond B3. The sessions ran through hurricanes Gustav, Hannah and Ike, sometimes by candlelight. Ten tracks: eight originals, a trombone-led cover of Massive Attack's Teardrop and I Believe In Miracles. Latin Jazz Network heard "something truly magical about this session".
